The Modern Bard offers flexible performance formats to suit different venues, events and audiences. Choose the three- or four-set Modern Bard Experience for a varied journey through the full repertoire, or select individual themed sets built around a particular style or world. The Modern Bard Experience is normally performed as mixed sets; individual themed sets can also be selected.

A varied performance drawing from across the repertoire, combining fantasy ballads, folk songs, sea shanties, tavern songs and Celtic instrumentals.
The Full Modern Bard Experience
The most extensive version of the act, with four varied sets drawing from the full breadth of the fantasy, folk, maritime and Celtic repertoire.
Songs of the Sea Set
Sea shanties and maritime folk songs with strong choruses, vocal harmonies and communal singing, complemented by instrumental music and short maritime readings or poetry.
Tavern Songs & Singalongs Set
Drinking songs, folk favourites, shanties and crowd-friendly choruses, with instrumental interludes and traditional readings.
Celtic & Folk Set
Celtic instrumentals, traditional folk songs and ballads, complemented by additional instrumental music, poetry and readings.
Songs of Middle-earth Set
Songs from and inspired by Tolkien’s Middle-earth, complemented by instrumental music and selected readings or poetry.
